Description
A rich, velvety creamy garlic pasta dish with al dente pasta, garlic-infused sauce, and layered cheeses. Perfect for quick weeknight dinners or cozy family meals.
Ingredients
12 oz (340g) pasta of your choice
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup (250ml) chicken broth
1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream
1 tsp (5g) dried basil
1 tsp (5g) dried oregano
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tbsp (30g) olive oil
1 cup (115g) grated mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup (55g) grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup (30g) chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
Dice onion into small, even cubes and sauté in olive oil until translucent.
Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, and stir to combine.
Bring the sauce to a simmer and let cook for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.
While the sauce is cooking, prepare the pasta according to package instructions.
Combine cooked pasta, sauce, and grated mozzarella cheese. Toss until the cheese is melted and the pasta is well coated.
Season with salt, pepper, and dried herbs to taste.
Garnish with chopped parsley and parmesan cheese.
Notes
For an extra creamy sauce, add 1-2 tbsp (15-30g) of unsalted butter.
Substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or a non-dairy alternative for a lighter version.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently over low heat.
