Ingredients
1 ball of pre-made pizza dough (room temperature)
1 cup pumpkin purée (unsweetened)
1 1/2 cups shredded Gouda cheese
4 strips of crispy turkey bacon, chopped
1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon dried sage
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh arugula for topping
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
Lightly flour your workspace and roll out the pizza dough into a circular shape.
In a small bowl, whisk together the pumpkin purée, olive oil, garlic powder, sage, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Spread the pumpkin mixture evenly over the dough, leaving an inch for the crust.
Sprinkle the shredded Gouda evenly over the base, followed by the red onion slices and crispy turkey bacon.
Transfer the pizza to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Let the pizza cool for 2 minutes, top with fresh arugula, and slice to serve.
Notes
Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a toaster oven to keep the crust crispy. If you cannot find Gouda, fontina or white cheddar are excellent melty alternatives.
