Description
This thick, creamy Oreo milkshake is a dreamy cookie-and-cream dessert in a glass. Made with vanilla ice cream, cold milk, and Oreo cookies, it’s quick to blend and perfect for any casual dessert occasion.
Ingredients
10 Oreo cookies, divided
3 cups vanilla ice cream
3/4 cup whole milk, plus 1 to 2 tablespoons more if needed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract, optional
2 tablespoons chocolate syrup, optional, for the glasses
1/2 cup whipped cream, for topping
1 tablespoon mini chocolate chips or extra crushed Oreo cookies, for garnish
Instructions
Chill the glasses: Place 2 tall glasses in the freezer for 5 minutes.
Prepare the topping: Take 2 Oreo cookies and crush them into small pieces using your hands or the bottom of a measuring cup. Set them aside for garnish.
Load the blender: Add 3 cups vanilla ice cream, 3/4 cup whole milk, 8 Oreo cookies, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract if using. Add the ice cream first so the blades can pull everything down smoothly.
Blend until creamy: Pulse for 10 seconds to break up the cookies, then blend for 20 to 30 seconds until the milkshake is thick, smooth, and speckled with cookie crumbs.
Adjust the thickness: If the shake is too thick to blend, add 1 tablespoon of milk at a time and blend for 5 seconds after each addition. For a thicker shake, add another small scoop of ice cream.
Decorate the glasses: While the blender rests, drizzle 1 tablespoon of chocolate syrup inside each chilled glass. Turn the glass slowly so the syrup creates a pret
Notes
Ensure the Oreo cookies are halal-compliant if needed. Serve immediately for the best texture.
