Ingredients
3 large Honeycrisp apples, peeled and diced small
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
12 pre-made graham cracker tart shells
1 cup whipped cream or vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup granola for topping
Instructions
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, stirring well to coat.
Cook the mixture for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender and the sauce is glossy.
Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool for 10 minutes.
Spoon the apple filling into each of the 12 graham cracker shells.
Top each cup with a dollop of whipped cream or yogurt.
Finish with a sprinkle of granola for added crunch before serving.
Notes
Store the apple filling in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Assemble the cups immediately before serving to ensure the graham cracker shells remain crisp. For a flavor twist, add a drizzle of caramel sauce or a dash of ground ginger to the apples while cooking. If pre-made tart shells are unavailable, layer crushed graham crackers into small glass jars or cups.
