Description

Elevate your next gathering with these irresistible Mediterranean Almond-Crusted Brie Bites. Perfectly crispy on the outside and gloriously gooey on the inside, this appetizer is the ultimate crowd-pleaser for holidays or cozy nights in. Combining creamy brie with the earthy crunch of almonds and a sophisticated sweet-tart fig glaze, these bites are simple to assemble yet look incredibly elegant. Whether hosting a formal dinner or a casual brunch, these bite-sized wonders provide a gourmet flavor profile that feels truly indulgent without any alcohol or pork products.

Ingredients

Scale

1 round (8 oz) Brie cheese, cut into 12 even wedges
1/2 cup almond flour
1/2 cup slivered almonds, finely crushed
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1/4 cup honey
2 tbsp fig preserves
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish

Instructions

Prepare three shallow dishes: one with almond flour, one with lightly beaten egg, and one with a mixture of crushed almonds and cinnamon.
Dip each brie wedge into the flour, then the egg, and finally press firmly into the almond mixture to coat evenly.
Place coated wedges on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 10 minutes to help them hold their shape.
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Bake for 7-9 minutes until the almonds are golden brown and the cheese begins to soften.
In a small saucepan, heat honey and fig preserves over low heat until smooth and glossy.
Drizzle the warm glaze over the baked bites, garnish with fresh rosemary, and serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days; reheat in a toaster oven to regain crispness. If you have a nut allergy, use panko breadcrumbs instead of almond flour and crushed almonds. Add a pinch of sea salt to the glaze for an extra flavor boost.
