Description
Sweet and tangy peach lemonade made with ripe peaches and fresh lemons. Perfect for summer, this refreshing drink blends homemade syrup with sparkling water for a vibrant, sunshine-filled sip.
Ingredients
4 large ripe peaches, sliced, about 4 cups
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup water (for the peach syrup)
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice, from 6-8 lemons
4 cups cold water, plus more to taste
2 cups ice cubes (for serving)
1 peach, thinly sliced, for garnish
1 lemon, thinly sliced, for garnish
Fresh mint leaves, optional, for garnish
Instructions
Rinse peaches and slice into pieces.
In a saucepan, add peaches, sugar, and water. Stir.
Cook over medium heat for 8 minutes, stirring, until peaches are soft and syrup is glossy.
Transfer to blender, blend until smooth.
Strain through fine-mesh strainer, pressing with a spoon.
Cool syrup for 20 minutes.
In a large pitcher, combine strained syrup and cold water.
Stir in fresh lemon juice.
Chill in fridge until serving.
Serve over ice with sliced fruit and mint.
Notes
Peach syrup can be made up to 24 hours ahead.
For clearer syrup, use a finer mesh strainer.
Optional mint leaves add a fresh touch.
Use frozen peaches for convenience.
