Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
5 garlic cloves, finely minced
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional
Instructions
Pat chicken dry with paper towels. Trim fat if necessary.
In a mixing bowl, combine chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and flour.
Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet over medium-high heat until sizzling.
Add chicken in a single layer and cook 3-4 minutes without stirring until golden-brown. Work in batches if overcrowded.
Flip chicken and cook 3-4 minutes more until golden and 165°F internal temperature.
Add remaining 2 tablespoons butter, minced garlic, and lemon juice to the pan. Cook 2 minutes, stirring gently.
Sprinkle with parsley and red pepper flakes (if using). Finish with final touch of butter for extra richness.
Notes
Use paper towel to blot excess moisture from chicken for better browning
Add 1-2 tablespoons water if sauce becomes too dry
Leftovers store well in airtight containers up to 3 days
Optional: Add sliced pearl onions to the skillet for extra flavor
