Description

These bite-sized, crowd-pleasing meatballs are the perfect stress-free appetizer for any gathering. Featuring a savory blend of ground meat and aromatics finished in a rich, tangy grape jelly and BBQ glaze, they offer classic comfort food flavor in minutes. Entirely pork-free and easy to prepare, this recipe is guaranteed to be a hit at your next party, family reunion, or game day celebration.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground beef (85% lean) or ground turkey
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 large egg
1/4 cup finely minced yellow onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup grape jelly
1/2 cup BBQ sauce (hickory smoked flavor)
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef or turkey, panko, egg, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper until just combined.
Roll the mixture into small, even 1-inch meatballs.
Heat a lightly oiled skillet over medium heat and brown the meatballs for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally.
Whisk together the grape jelly, BBQ sauce, and Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl.
Pour the sauce over the browned meatballs in the skillet.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes until the sauce is thick and glossy.

Notes

Store leftover meatballs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave. You can also bake the meatballs on a baking sheet at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 15-20 minutes instead of pan-searing if preferred.
