Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup tomato sauce
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
8 small flour or corn tortillas
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 cup diced tomatoes
1/2 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican-style cheese
1/4 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 avocado, sliced
Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions
Pat chicken dry and cut into small, even pieces.
Mix chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook chicken in a single layer for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add seasoning to the skillet, stir well, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Stir in tomato sauce and lime juice, simmer for 1 minute.
Warm tortillas in the skillet if desired.
Serve chicken in tortillas with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, cilantro, avocado, and lime wedges.
