Ingredients
2 cans (10.5 oz each) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 cups cooked cut green beans, drained
1 1/3 cups crispy fried onions
4 slices turkey bacon, cooked until crisp and crumbled
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease your baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper until smooth.
Fold in the cooked green beans, the crumbled turkey bacon, and 2/3 cup of the crispy fried onions.
Pour the mixture into your prepared baking dish and bake for 25 minutes, or until the mixture is hot and bubbling around the edges.
Remove the dish from the oven, sprinkle the remaining 2/3 cup of fried onions over the top, and return to the oven for 5 minutes until the onions are golden brown.
Notes
Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to keep the onions crispy. For a meatless version, omit the turkey bacon or substitute with sautéed mushrooms. You can mix the base and beans a day in advance, but add the fried onions only when ready to bake to ensure maximum crunch.
