Description

This creamy, spicy Buffalo Chicken Dip is a crowd-pleasing appetizer that brings bold flavor to any gathering. Loaded with shredded chicken, tangy hot sauce, and melted cheese, it’s perfect for game days or casual get-togethers. Serve with chips, pita, or veggies.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups cooked shredded chicken
8 ounces cream cheese, softened and cubed
1/2 cup buffalo-style hot sauce
1/2 cup ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
2 tablespoons sliced green onions, for topping
Celery sticks, carrot sticks, tortilla chips, or pita chips, for serving

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
Shred the cooked chicken into small, even pieces using two forks.
In a medium bowl, stir the softened cream cheese until smooth and spreadable.
Add the buffalo hot sauce, ranch dressing, melted butter, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until the sauce becomes creamy and glossy.
Fold in the shredded chicken, 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese until evenly coated.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
Bake for 20 minutes, until the dip is hot and the top is golden.
Remove from the oven and top with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

For a meatless alternative, substitute the cooked chicken with crumbled tofu or chickpeas.
This dip reheats well in the microwave for leftovers.
Ensure the buffalo sauce is vegetarian or vegan if using plant-based chicken alternatives.
