Description

Experience the cozy, comforting flavors of the season with this decadent Autumn Pie. Featuring a velvety chestnut cream base, perfectly caramelized apples, and a satisfying crunch of toasted pecans, this dessert is the perfect centerpiece for your next fall gathering or holiday celebration. Simple to prepare, this show-stopping recipe brings the warmth of autumn straight to your table.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pre-made deep-dish pie crust
3 cups gala or honeycrisp apples, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 cup chestnut puree (unsweetened)
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup pecans, roughly chopped
1 pinch sea salt

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and place your pie crust into the dish.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add your sliced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
Cook the apples for about 8–10 minutes until they are soft, golden, and coated in a glossy caramel sauce; set aside to cool slightly.
In a mixing bowl, combine the chestnut puree, heavy cream, and maple syrup, whisking until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Pour the chestnut mixture into the bottom of the prepared crust.
Top the cream with the caramelized apples and sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the surface.
Bake for 25–30 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the filling is set.
Let the pie cool for at least 30 minutes before serving to ensure the cream sets perfectly.

Notes

Store leftover pie covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Warm slightly before serving for the best texture. Walnuts can be used as a substitute for pecans if preferred.
