Ingredients
2 cans (12.4 oz each) refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing)
3 medium Honeycrisp apples, peeled, cored, and diced
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a large mixing bowl, toss the diced apples with brown sugar and cinnamon until evenly coated.
Cut each cinnamon roll into 4 equal pieces and add them to the bowl with the apples, tossing gently.
Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish and drizzle with melted butter.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until the rolls are golden brown and apples are tender.
Remove from oven and immediately drizzle with the reserved icing packets. Serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave for 20 seconds to restore the soft texture. Use firm apples like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith to ensure they hold their shape while baking.
