Description
Crispy, sweet, and smoky corn ribs in under 20 minutes using an air fryer. A quick and colorful side dish perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
4 ears of fresh corn, husked
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon chili powder (optional)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon maple syrup or agave
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or cilantro
Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
Stand each corn ear upright; slice downward to cut kernels into thick ‘ribs’ (3-4 cuts per ear).
Toss ribs in a bowl with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder (if using), salt, and pepper.
Brush or toss with maple syrup for sweetness.
Arrange ribs in a single layer in air fryer basket (avoid overcrowding); cook in batches if needed.
Air fry for 11-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
Garnish with parsley or cilantro and serve immediately.
Notes
Reheat leftovers in air fryer for 3-4 minutes to restore crispiness
Use thawed, well-drained frozen corn if fresh is unavailable
Lightly spray basket with oil to prevent syrup sticking
Adjust chili powder amount for spice level
