Ingredients
8 oz ramen noodles or spaghetti
1/2 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, freshly grated
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the noodles according to the package instructions.
While the noodles cook, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, garlic, and ginger in a small bowl until smooth.
In a large skillet, heat a splash of oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken strips and cook for 4–5 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
Drain the noodles and add them directly into the skillet with the chicken.
Pour the sauce over the noodles and chicken. Use your tongs to toss everything together for 1–2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken into a glossy, fragrant coating.
Remove from heat and garnish with toasted sesame seeds and fresh green onions. Serve immediately!
Notes
Storage: Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of water to loosen the sauce.
Substitutions: If you don’t have chicken, thin strips of lean beef work beautifully as a protein swap.
Vegetarian Option: Simply omit the meat and add sautéed tofu or extra snap peas for crunch.
Spicy Kick: Add a tablespoon of chili garlic sauce or red pepper flakes to the sauce mixture.
Veggie Power: Toss in a handful of fresh spinach or shredded carrots during the last minute of cooking.
