Description
Juicy Greek Biftekia Burgers made with herbed ground beef, perfect for dinner with pita, tzatziki, or Greek-style sides.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
1 small onion, grated
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tsp dried oregano
Salt and black pepper to taste
Optional: 1/4 cup crumbled feta
Optional: soaked bread or breadcrumbs
Instructions
1. In a mixing bowl, combine beef, onion, garlic, egg, olive oil, herbs, salt, and pepper.
2. Mix gently by hand until just combined—do not overwork.
3. Shape into 4 burger-sized patties.
4. Chill for 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
5. Cook on a hot grill or skillet 4–5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
6. Serve on pita or buns with your choice of toppings.
Notes
Add feta inside each patty for a creamy center.
Great served with tzatziki, lemon potatoes, or Greek salad.
Freeze raw patties flat for quick meals later.
